The Office of the Milwaukee Ombudsman for Child Welfare (OMOCW) began accepting complaints on June 13, 2005
On July 1, 2008, the OMOCW contract moved from the
Department of Health and Family Services (DHFS) to the
Department of Children and Families (DCF)
On June 30, 2010, the OMOCW contract with the State
expired. The interim complaint resolution process has been
moved to the Department of Children and Families while a new
contractor is selected to implement a new external complaint
resolution process.
