Ombudsman Principles
To provide an INDEPENDENT and IMPARTIAL format to review complaints
To OBJECTIVELY examine facts and laws relating to a complaint
To report findings based on those facts
To make recommendations to remedy a situation based on those findings as appropriate
To tell people about Ombudsman services and to continually work to improve those services
To act in concern for the safety, permanency and well-being of children
