Ombudsman Principles

  • To provide an INDEPENDENT and IMPARTIAL format to review complaints
  • To OBJECTIVELY examine facts and laws relating to a complaint
  • To report findings based on those facts
  • To make recommendations to remedy a situation based on those findings as appropriate
  • To tell people about Ombudsman services and to continually work to improve those services
  • To act in concern for the safety, permanency and well-being of children
